I have regularly sailed in Greek and
UK waters for more than fifteen years mainly as a skipper.
During that time I have introduced lots of friends and relatives
to sailing, many of whom return each year for one or two
weeks holiday. I keep myself up-to-date with the latest
changes and developments and via relevant courses and exams.
I am a Royal Yacht Association Coastal Skipper and hold
recent first aid and radio user licence certificates. I
have skippered yachts from 26 to 44 feet in the waters of
the UK , Greece , Turkey , Sardinia, Corsica and the Caribbean
.
Two years ago I took early retirement and
acquired Nanaia, a 2001 42 foot Bavaria sailing yacht which
is fitted out with the latest sailing, navigation and safety
equipment. Nanaia is maintained to as high a standard as
I am able.
My intention is to spend the next few summers
exploring the mainland and islands of the Ionian sea in
Greece and I am looking for crew and family groups to join
me. As a small non commercial venture there is no fee, although
a contribution towards the boat’s upkeep and maintenance
would be expected.
