Membership of the Club is available to all, whether you have
a cruiser, dinghy, power boat, fishing boat or none of these but
just want to soak up the atmosphere from the Club's balcony. We
pride ourselves on being a friendly and informal club and will
do all we can to make you feel welcome.
If you want to learn to sail or drive a power boat we have excellent
facilities. All our courses are approved by the Royal Yachting
Association which is the sports governing body in the UK and all
our instructors are RYA qualified, so you can be assured of getting
the best instruction.
To become a member of the Club you need to refer to the Notes
on Membership Application and then complete a Membership
Application Form. Your application has to be proposed and
seconded by two full members of the Club and has to be passed
by the Club's General Committee. If you don't know any full members
at the Club don't let this deter you. Come along to the Clubhouse
and have a chat to one of the members and a proposer and seconder
is likely to be found. Alternatively you can email the Sailing
Club and our Membership Secretary will get back in touch with
you.
Membership of the Club is renewable on an annual basis running
from January 1st to December 31st. There is no administration
fee for new members however, the full annual fee is payable if
joining before September 30th. There are separate fees if you
want to keep a sailing dinghy or tender in our dinghy park or
want to take part in Sail or Power Boat Training.
