Club Rules for 2024/5 were approved at the AGM on 24th November 2024 and from that date replace all earlier versions.  All members must adhere to the new rules, that are attached.

Welcome

Membership of the Club is available to all, whether you have a Cruiser, Dinghy, Rowing Boat, Power Boat, Kayak, Fishing Boat or none of these but just want to soak up the atmosphere from the Club's balcony. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and informal club and will do all we can to make you feel welcome.

SSC membership renewal is due on1st April 2024

The Membership Form have been updated with the new rates, as well as the GDPR declaration you need to make.

For those of you who store a boat in the Dinghy Park, we have added the Dinghy Park Charter to the reverse of the form so you are all aware of the rules relating to storing your boat in the Park.  We also need you to provide a spare key, a note of your lock code or confirmation that your boat remains unlocked.

If you pay your membership via Wisemans Bridge Rowing Club, but store your boat in the Dinghy Park, simply put a line through the membership line and write “Via WBRC” in the payment column.

The clubs bank details are on the form, we would prefer payments made via bank transfer, please quote your FULL Name and if applicable your Boat name/number as payment reference to help us allocate payment correctly.

Payments by cheque, should be made payable to Saundersfoot Sailing Club and returned with the completed Membership Form to Saundersfoot Sailing Club, The Harbour, Saundersfoot, SA69 9HE marked for the attention of Maurice Clarke - Membership Secretary.

To aid Maurice, please can we ask all forms and payment are with us no later than 10th April 2024.  Membership cards, door code & boat ID tags will then be issued by the end of April.

Written in conjunction with the “RYA Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Guidelines”, which should be referred to for more detailed information and guidance.

As defined by the Children Act 1989, for the purposes of this policy anyone under the age of 18 should be considered as a child.  The policy applies to all RYA employees, contractors and volunteers. 

The RYA is committed to safeguarding, from physical, sexual or emotional harm, neglect or bullying, children taking part in its activities.  We recognise that the safety, welfare and needs of the child are paramount and that all children, irrespective of age, disability, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual or gender identity or social status, have a right to protection from discrimination and abuse. 

The RYA takes all reasonable steps to ensure that, through appropriate procedures and training, children participating in activities organised by the RYA do so in a safe and enjoyable environment. 

We require RYA recognised training centres and encourage affiliated clubs and class associations to adopt and implement similar policies and procedures and provide them with relevant information and support.

The purpose of thi document is to achieve a safe and healthy environment for all members, instructors, trainees and visitors to Saundersfoot Sailing Club.

• Identify who is accountable for and responsibility for safety.
• Record and publish policies and procedures.
• Analyse hazards and risks.
• Determine appropriate mitigation measures.
• Review when conditions and circumstances change.

Saundersfoot Sailing Club will store and use your personal data for the purposes of administering the Club and your involvement in club activities, and will not be disclosed to any 3rd party.
